MavunoPoint Company main mission is to improve the livelihoods of the farmers, strengthen agribusiness in Tanzania, and transform communities to be self-reliant. The company aims to become a modern Agro-processing Enterprise for transforming perishable produces from local farmers into shelf-stable products by adding value. The established factory in Magu is positioned centrally between the most populated areas in Tanzania with higher agricultural production, with an intention of providing a ready market for the farmers yields and to minimize postharvest losses.

Currently, this company specializes in the value addition of potatoes, bananas, ginger, groundnuts, and cassava yields from the lake zone regions, namely Mwanza, Simiyu, Kagera and Mara. However, the company has plans to diversify into other agricultural products in order to be beneficial to more farmers and traders. Mavuno Agribusiness's natural products are available in the local markets to start with.

In 2017, agriculture contributed by 28.74% to Tanzania’s GDP and provides employment for the majority of the Tanzania’s population. It is therefore one of the most important sectors of the economy. And for this reason, MavunoPoint Company intends therefore to play its role for the benefit of farmers and the economy of the country at large.

Kwa sasa wanaongeza thamani kwenye mazao ya mikoa ya kanda ya ziwa (Mwanza, Simiyu, Ziwa Magharibi na Mara) kama vile viazi ulaya, mihogo, tangawizi, asali na karanga. Lakini lengo ni kuongeza mazao mengine na bidhaa nyingine nyingi kulingana na lengo la kampuni.”
